Norris Defends "Clergy of the Year" Warren

Barack Obama and Rick Warren

Movie and TV star Chuck Norris writes that Pastor Rick Warren "should win the clergy-of-the-year award for prayer creativity, cultural relativity and subtle subversive submissions" for his prayer at this year's presidential inauguration. Obama had been attacked by the left, especially homosexual activists, for choosing Warren to give the prayer, and Warren was attacked by evangelicals and other conservative Christians for accepting the offer.

Norris makes a very persuasive argument that Warren, author of the mega-bestseller The Purpose-Driven Life, showed real shrewdness in composing his prayer, and I'm inclined to agree. Read Norris's article here.
