Joker Begins

Heath Ledger at 2006 Academy Awards ceremonyWarner Bros has confirmed that Heath Ledger will play the Joker in the forthcoming sequel to Batman Begins. The film, to be called The Dark Knight, begins shooting early next year with BB director Christopher Nolan at the helm.

I think Ledger is a tough sell as the Joker. Doesn't seem quite old enough and is maybe a little too vulnerable in the eyes.

Yes, it seems to me, too, a weird choice. Of course, I think Cesar Romero was much better than Jack Nicholson as the Joker, and that the cartoon version is the best of all.
